Kummler+Matter EVT has been installing Christmas lights every year since 1971. What began decades ago with the installation of garlands on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse has now developed into complex lighting concepts, some of which are even computer-controlled. Christmas lights create the perfect atmosphere and allow city centres to stand out during the dark time of the year. By illuminating streets and squares, Kummler+Matter EVT thrills people all over Switzerland. The specialist teams with their special vehicles have a level of expertise that is unique in Switzerland. Planning
Kummler+Matter EVT prepares the construction and structural engineering plans and develops overall lighting concepts as required.
Engineering
The statics and illuminating power are calculated and permits are obtained. In cooperation with the local safety authorities, traffic management is organised and the Christmas lights and cable support structures are built.
Execution
On the operational level, the cable support structures are installed and the lighting is mounted and connected to the power. Depending on the preparatory work completed in previous years, for example, the setting of permanent wall anchors or fixed cable support structures that remain in place over the year, this work step may be limited to hanging the lighting and connecting it to the grid.
Commissioning
Existing cable support structures are checked, visual inspections and expert reports guarantee smooth commissioning.
Upkeep
In addition to dismantling work, Kummler+Matter EVT also takes care of the logistics and, if desired, the storage of Christmas lights during the rest of the year. Kummler+Matter EVT provides a call-out service for the Christmas period.
